Esher
Esher is located in the district of Elmbridge in the north of Surrey.
The town is centred around the High Street, with Sandown Park racecourse being a short walk north of the town centre. There is a Waitrose supermarket and an Odeon cinema in the town centre.
The Claremont estate between Esher and Cobham was built for Clive of India and later occupied by Queen Victoria (see history page). Whilst the country house now houses a school, the landscape gardens are National Trust property and are open to the public.
The A3 trunk road passes to the south of the town, and a mainline train station with services to London Waterloo and Woking is located to the north.
