Shepperton
Shepperton is on the river Thames between Walton and Chertsey.
The town centre, around the High Street, includes small Budgens and Somerfield supermarkets.
North-west of the town centre is Shepperton Studios, a manor house and country park which has been the site of film-making studios since the 1930s.
To the south of the modern town centre, by the side of the Thames, is Old Shepperton. Centered around Church Square, Old Shepperton includes St Nicholas church (see local history) and two pubs, the King's Head and the Anchor.
The south side of the Thames can be reached using road bridges at neighbouring Chertsey and Walton.
Motorway access is at junction 1 of the M3 in Sunbury, or junction 13 (Staines) or junction 11 (Chertsey) of the M25. Shepperton railway station (a terminus station) offers services to London Waterloo.
